PANews reported on November 25th that, according to Reuters, 306 American victims and their families of the 2023 Hamas attacks on Israel have filed a lawsuit in North Dakota federal court against Binance and its founder, Changpeng Zhao, accusing him of assisting Hamas and other terrorist organizations in handling over $1 billion in funds, including more than $50 million that remained in circulation after the attacks. Although Zhao pleaded guilty in 2023 and served four months in prison before receiving a pardon from President Trump, the lawsuit alleges that Binance continued to provide shelter for illicit financial activities, and the plaintiffs are seeking damages and treble punitive damages.
