PENDLE Whale Activity Spikes as Arthur Hayes Buys Over $536K Worth

Big PENDLE buying reported as new on-chain information reveals that one of the biggest crypto personalities, Arthur Hayes, has recently acquired large amounts of PENDLE. He has accumulated a total of 218,000 PENDLE, worth about half a million dollars, in the past 24 hours. Lookonchain pointed at the transactions, which mentioned two big inflows into the wallet of Hayes, which renewed the market interest in the PENDLE token.

Two Large Transfers Recorded Within Hours

  • 113,000 tokens value approximately $277.9K, which came out of the hot wallet of Wintermute and went to the address of Hayes.
  • 105,000 tokens valued at approximately $258.3K, dispatched through a different address, which is also considered an active market participant.

The two transfers were sent to the main wallet of Hayes (0x6cd), which proved the presence of coordinated accumulation activity. The shift of tokens by institutional or market-making organizations such as Wintermute has led to the speculation that Hayes is positioning to a bigger trend or that the Pendle ecosystem is about to perform bullishly.

Consistent Whale Presence in the Markets

This new amassing is on top of the current action of Hayes in the crypto markets. History on Arkham indicates that Hayes has been heavily transferring major amounts of funds between exchanges and DeFi applications, such as massive USDC deposits to Kraken and Wintermute in the last few days.

The trend is that of active trading policy or continuous repositioning of the portfolios, and the token is now a recognizable component.

Hayes, a co-founder of BitMEX, a well-known proponent of creative DeFi models, has been keen on yield-based protocols, a category in which the token has been highly successful. Pendle Finance platform that allows users to tokenize and trade future yields has been adopted more as the yield-tokenization trend of 2025 expands.

Market Reaction and Community Sentiment

The social media debate escalated after the report by Lookonchain as traders reacted to the whale activity. Hayes has a history of driving prices with his involvement in the crypto trading world, and the recent token fluctuations were not an exception. Although the market is yet to experience sudden volatility, traders are keen on whether this accumulation would lead to the broadening of buying interest.

The spirit of community around Pendle has been high because of its growing Total Value Locked (TVL) and growing integration into DeFi networks. The acquisition of Hayes provides an added confidence to investors that track whale activity as the factor that shows possible market momentum.

What Comes Next for PENDLE?

As whales such as Hayes join forces, analysts expect to see more price action based on the wider market conditions. Provided yield-tokenization industry persists in its quick expansion, PENDLE can gain further with new institutional and retail investment.

To date, the large acquisition by Hayes is one of the most talked-whale acquisitions of the week, which solidifies the increasing popularity of the token within the DeFi market.

Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC

The post Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson has weighed in on whether the Federal Reserve should make a 25 basis points (bps) Fed rate cut or 50 bps cut. This comes ahead of the Fed decision today at today’s FOMC meeting, with the market pricing in a 25 bps cut. Bitcoin and the broader crypto market are currently trading flat ahead of the rate cut decision. Franklin Templeton CEO Weighs In On Potential FOMC Decision In a CNBC interview, Jenny Johnson said that she expects the Fed to make a 25 bps cut today instead of a 50 bps cut. She acknowledged the jobs data, which suggested that the labor market is weakening. However, she noted that this data is backward-looking, indicating that it doesn’t show the current state of the economy. She alluded to the wage growth, which she remarked is an indication of a robust labor market. She added that retail sales are up and that consumers are still spending, despite inflation being sticky at 3%, which makes a case for why the FOMC should opt against a 50-basis-point Fed rate cut. In line with this, the Franklin Templeton CEO said that she would go with a 25 bps rate cut if she were Jerome Powell. She remarked that the Fed still has the October and December FOMC meetings to make further cuts if the incoming data warrants it. Johnson also asserted that the data show a robust economy. However, she noted that there can’t be an argument for no Fed rate cut since Powell already signaled at Jackson Hole that they were likely to lower interest rates at this meeting due to concerns over a weakening labor market. Notably, her comment comes as experts argue for both sides on why the Fed should make a 25 bps cut or…
