PANews reported on November 27th that, according to Cryptopolitan, Swiss compliant crypto bank Amina Bank and Crypto Finance Group, a subsidiary of Deutsche Börse, have completed a pilot program for real-time interbank fiat currency settlement on Google Cloud's Universal Ledger, achieving 24/7 instant settlement while maintaining full compliance. This pilot program, through distributed ledger technology (DLT), validated the modernization potential of scenarios such as cross-border payments, multi-currency settlement, and POS systems. All participating banks maintained traditional compliance standards within the existing regulatory framework. Amina Bank's CEO stated that this pilot program demonstrates that technological innovation and financial stability can coexist, providing a practical model for the transformation of the global financial system.
As the pilot currency operator, Crypto Finance Group is responsible for developing transaction rules and overseeing compliance processes. Google Cloud executives stated that this infrastructure can be embedded into core banking systems to provide customers with near real-time payment services. The next phase of the pilot program will expand to consumer POS integration and cross-border payments.
