La presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum confirmó que el gobierno federal entregará entre 1,500 y 2,000 millones de pesos a los gobiernos de la Ciudad de México, Jalisco y Nuevo León como apoyo para sus obras de infraestructura en el marco de la Copa del Mundo de la FIFA 2026.

Desde Palacio Nacional, y ante la jefa de gobierno de la Ciudad de México, Clara Brugada, el gobernador de Jalisco, Pablo Lemus y de Nuevo León, Samuel García, la primera mandataria mexicana recalcó su compromiso de entregar recursos adicionales a estas tres entidades que serán sede del próximo mundial de fútbol.

Es así que confirmó que el gobierno federal aportará entre 1,500 millones y 2,000 millones de pesos a cada una de estas entidades destinados para la mejora de su infraestructura, principalmente de de transporte público.

Por lo que en el caso de la CDMX se podrían destinar para la remodelación de la línea dos del Metro; en Guadalajara para la línea 5 del Metro y en Monterrey para las líneas 4 y 6.

En conferencia matutina, donde se presentaron los avances y actividades que se alistan para el mundial de fútbol de 2026, Sheinbaum Pardo también informó que analiza la posibilidad de viajar a Washington el próximo 5 de diciembre para presenciar el sorteo del Mundial de futbol.

Sin embargo, aclaró que este viaje dependerán de la confirmación de la presencia del presidente de Estados Unidos, Donald Trump y del primer ministro de Canadá, Mark Carney.
