Ripple has introduced a custody solution built for institutions looking to manage digital assets securely. As global financial markets shift toward tokenization, projections show up to 10% of assets worldwide could be tokenized by 2030. That shift is expected to support a $16 trillion segment of the financial industry.

Ripple Custody has already drawn the attention of major financial players. Banks such as BBVA, SG Forge, DBS Bank, and DZ Bank are among those using the platform. The custody system supports 24/7 secure asset storage, settlement, and transfers, offering a platform built for uninterrupted operation.

This infrastructure is designed to help institutions operate across digital markets without compromising control. By offering direct interaction with tokenized assets, the firm’s solution helps institutions conduct activities like stablecoin payments and trading tokenized stocks or bonds with increased security.

Ripple Custody Data Protection Standards

Ripple Custody incorporates some of the most recognized security tools in the financial sector. It supports integrations with high-security hardware security modules from providers such as IBM Cloud HSM, Thales Luna, and AWS. All systems in use carry top-tier FIPS certifications.

The platform meets several international standards for data protection and operational trust. These include SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications. It also follows the EAL 5+ standard, which is recognized as a high global benchmark.

Aside from system architecture, it involves transaction monitoring, which is carried out through providers such as Elliptic and Chainalysis. These services review transactions to support compliance with KYC, AML and CFT standards.

Secure Workflow Oversight for Institutions

One of the standout elements of Custody is its governance policy engine. It is designed to secure transaction workflows and eliminate the possibility of unauthorized activities. This structure protects against audit tampering, malicious actions, or unapproved changes.

Institutions working with complex custody structures benefit from Ripple’s support for multi-tenancy. This allows for internal layering of permissions and responsibilities, while still using the same secure infrastructure for all internal custody management.

Every transaction processed through Ripple Custody is verified at runtime by the governance system. That ensures enforcement of all policy controls in real-time and maintains full operational visibility and control for the institutions using it.
