Innovation across AI and integrated hybrid communications solutions underscores its commitment to driving long-term value for customers and partners as an industry leader

OTTAWA, Ontario–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Mitel, a global leader in business communications, enters 2026 financially strengthened and ideally positioned to meet the market’s growing demand for hybrid communications and AI-driven solutions. With a renewed capital structure and strong operational momentum, the company has expanded its portfolio and capacity to support enterprises pursuing secure, flexible hybrid deployment strategies that address the demands of today and the opportunities with emerging technologies of tomorrow.

Backed by a global customer base of over 70 million users in more than 100 countries, 2025 has been a milestone year in Mitel’s evolution as a leader in hybrid communications. The company strengthened its financial profile, introduced new executive and board leadership, and refined its strategy across hybrid communications and AI-powered customer experience. This foundation enables Mitel to streamline global operations and accelerate innovation across its portfolio, giving enterprises greater choice, control, and resilience as they continue to modernize their environments, drive workforce productivity, and serve their customers.

Mitel also advanced its technology ecosystem and operational foundation in 2025. The company collaborated with Zoom to jointly develop an AI-first hybrid communications and collaboration solution. By integrating Zoom Workplace and Zoom AI Companion with Mitel’s flagship telephony platforms, the two companies are delivering a unified modernization path for enterprise customers. Mitel also demonstrated its commitment to supply chain resilience by relocating Internet Protocol (IP) phone production to Germany through its partnership with Gigaset. This move bolstered supply chain stability, improved delivery times for European customers, and reinforced the company’s ability to support mission-critical hybrid environments globally.

“Across the organization, there is an unmistakable sense of momentum as we solidify our focus on hybrid communications and AI-powered customer experiences,” said Mike Robinson, Chief Executive Officer of Mitel. “Our strengthened foundation and renewed operational clarity give us the ability to move faster, innovate with purpose, and deliver the flexible, resilient solutions enterprises are seeking. I’m energized by the progress we’ve made and confident in our direction as we step into 2026.”

“As enterprises accelerate adoption of hybrid communications, our research shows they increasingly prioritize unified experiences that preserve flexibility, resiliency, and control,” said Oru Mohiuddin, Research Director, IDC. “Mitel has emerged as a leader in this space, advancing a hybrid architecture that blends innovation with operational continuity. By extending AI-powered capabilities across its portfolio while maintaining its focus on customer-driven deployment models, Mitel is helping organizations modernize at a pace and in a framework that aligns with their business requirements.”

“Mitel’s strength in the enterprise market comes from its ability to unite scale, flexibility, and lifecycle management in ways that competitors often can’t match,” said John Malone, President and CEO of The Eastern Management Group. “Its hybrid approach, enabled through the Common Communications Framework, gives organizations control over deployment, compliance, and migration, while the integration of unified communications (UC) and customer experience (CX) delivers greater operational consistency across the enterprise. As communications environments become more complex, Mitel’s model provides a pragmatic path forward that protects existing investments and supports long-term modernization.”
