PeckShieldAlert reports that two wallets, 0x1209…e9C and 0xaac6…508, were breached through private key exposure, driving an estimated loss of 2.3 million USDT.
Analysts note the attacker swapped the stolen funds into 757.6 ETH and funneled proceeds through the Tornado Cash mixer, complicating on-chain traceability.
The incident underscores the need for robust key-management and improved custody controls, alongside proactive on-chain analytics to detect anomalous movements and protect assets.
