PANews reported on December 23 that CertiK's "2025 Skynet Hack3D Web3 Security Report" indicates that phishing remains the most frequent security threat of the year. A total of 248 phishing incidents were recorded in 2025, resulting in losses of approximately $723 million. Of particular concern is the increasing prevalence of AI technology, which is acting as an amplifier for phishing attacks: attackers are using AI to generate highly realistic phishing websites, wallet pop-ups, and multilingual fraudulent messages, combining this with on-chain data and social media for targeted distribution, gradually diminishing the effectiveness of traditional defenses. The report advises both individual users and project teams to strengthen their security awareness and protective measures to cope with the escalating AI-driven attacks.
