CEBU, Philippines – Having a home is the Filipino dream, but what do you do when home becomes a danger to you and your family?

In the aftermath of the September 30 earthquake, hundreds of homes in Cebu were left under rubble, with some barely salvageable and others no longer fit to serve as shelters.

Then on November 4 or over a month later, Typhoon Tino (Kalmaegi) hit the province, causing severe floods that trapped residents on the roofs of their homes, forcing them to evacuate, and exposing them to public health problems in the days that followed.

In this documentary, Rappler dives into the issues surrounding the twin disasters and looks into the problems that led to the deaths and displacements from the towns that suffered the most in Cebu. – Rappler.com
