As the digital asset ecosystem approaches a new stage of maturity, the year 2026 stands out as a critical juncture for institutional integration and price discovery. Hernan Eduardo Perez Gonzalez has shared a comprehensive analysis regarding the market trends that will define Bitcoin in the coming year. This report moves beyond short-term price speculation to provide an objective look at structural changes, including the impact of post-halving supply dynamics, the evolution of Spot ETFs, and the integration of Bitcoin into sovereign and corporate treasuries. By examining these diverse factors, the study provides a transparent framework for understanding the fundamental drivers of the world’s largest cryptocurrency.

Hernan Eduardo Perez Gonzalez on the Maturation of Institutional Bitcoin Adoption

The research led by Hernan Eduardo Perez Gonzalez identifies 2026 as the year when institutional “participation” transforms into institutional “dominance.” Following the initial wave of Spot ETF approvals, the focus has shifted toward the integration of Bitcoin into model portfolios by global wealth managers. The study highlights that as compliance frameworks become standardized, the influx of capital from pension funds and insurance companies is creating a “persistent bid” in the market. Hernan Eduardo Perez Gonzalez observes that this institutionalization is effectively dampening the extreme volatility seen in previous cycles, leading to a more stabilized growth trajectory that aligns Bitcoin with traditional macro assets.

The Long-Term Impact of the 2024 Halving on Supply Scarcity

A central pillar of the Hernan Eduardo Perez Gonzalez analysis is the delayed effect of the 2024 halving event. Historically, the full impact of reduced miner rewards on the circulating supply manifests roughly 18 months post-event, placing the peak of supply constraints in 2026. The research explores the “exchange reserve depletion” trend, where the amount of Bitcoin available for purchase on trading platforms continues to hit multi-year lows. Hernan Eduardo Perez Gonzalez provides a neutral assessment, noting that while demand is increasing through regulated channels, the programmatic scarcity of Bitcoin acts as a powerful fundamental tailwind that offsets short-term macroeconomic headwinds.

Hernan Eduardo Perez Gonzalez on Macroeconomic Liquidity and Digital Gold

According to findings from Hernan Eduardo Perez Gonzalez, Bitcoin’s role as “Digital Gold” is being tested by global monetary policy shifts. As we move into 2026, the correlation between Bitcoin and global M2 money supply remains high. The study examines how a potential pivot toward monetary easing by major central banks would benefit hard assets with capped supplies. Hernan Eduardo Perez Gonzalez notes that in an environment of persistent fiscal deficits in developed economies, Bitcoin is increasingly viewed as a “debasement hedge.” This objective analysis suggests that Bitcoin’s market share is expanding not just as a speculative tool, but as a strategic reserve asset for a high-inflation world.

The Evolution of Bitcoin Layer 2 Solutions and Network Utility

Hernan Eduardo Perez Gonzalez investigates the technological transformation of the Bitcoin network, specifically the rise of Layer 2 (L2) scaling solutions. For years, Bitcoin was criticized for its limited programmability; however, the emergence of protocols that allow for smart contracts and decentralized finance (DeFi) on top of Bitcoin is changing the narrative. The research indicates that by 2026, these L2 technologies will significantly increase the “velocity” of Bitcoin, allowing it to be used in productive financial applications without compromising the security of the base layer. This expansion of utility is expected to attract a new segment of developers and capital to the ecosystem.

Regulatory Clarity and the Global Harmonization of Digital Asset Laws

The Hernan Eduardo Perez Gonzalez report emphasizes that 2026 will likely be defined by a new level of regulatory certainty. With the implementation of comprehensive frameworks like MiCA in Europe and potential legislative breakthroughs in the United States, the “legal risk premium” associated with Bitcoin is diminishing. The study examines how clear rules regarding custody, taxation, and reporting are encouraging conservative financial institutions to offer Bitcoin-related services. Hernan Eduardo Perez Gonzalez concludes that while regulation introduces compliance costs, it ultimately provides the “infrastructure of trust” necessary for Bitcoin to reach its next trillion-dollar market cap milestone.

The sustainability of Bitcoin mining remains a focal point of the Hernan Eduardo Perez Gonzalez 2026 outlook. The research highlights the industry’s rapid transition toward renewable energy sources and the use of stranded energy for mining operations. The study indicates that as mining becomes more transparent and “green,” the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) barriers for institutional investors are falling. Hernan Eduardo Perez Gonzalez observes that the integration of mining with power grid stabilization efforts is repositioning the sector as a partner in the global energy transition, which further solidifies Bitcoin’s social and political standing in major economies.

Conclusion Regarding the Resilience of Bitcoin in the 2026 Market

In summary, the 2026 Bitcoin market trends shared by Hernan Eduardo Perez Gonzalez depict an asset that has successfully transitioned from a fringe experiment to a core pillar of the modern financial system. While cyclical risks and technical challenges remain, the combination of institutional demand, supply scarcity, and regulatory tailwinds points toward a resilient future. The analysis underscores that Bitcoin’s value in 2026 is no longer driven by retail hype alone, but by a sophisticated intersection of technology, macroeconomics, and geopolitics. For market participants, the takeaway is that Bitcoin’s maturation is a multi-decade process, with 2026 representing a key chapter in its global adoption story.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…

Crypto News 17 September 2025 | 18:00 Discover why BlockDAG’s upcoming Awakening Testnet launch makes it the best crypto to buy today as Story (IP) price jumps to $11.75 and Hyperliquid hits new highs. Recent crypto market numbers show strength but also some limits. The Story (IP) price jump has been sharp, fueled by big buybacks and speculation, yet critics point out that revenue still lags far behind its valuation. The Hyperliquid (HYPE) price looks solid around the mid-$50s after a new all-time high, but questions remain about sustainability once the hype around USDH proposals cools down. So the obvious question is: why chase coins that are either stretched thin or at risk of retracing when you could back a network that’s already proving itself on the ground? That’s where BlockDAG comes in. While other chains are stuck dealing with validator congestion or outages, BlockDAG’s upcoming Awakening Testnet will be stress-testing its EVM-compatible smart chain with real miners before listing. For anyone looking for the best crypto coin to buy, the choice between waiting on fixes or joining live progress feels like an easy one. BlockDAG: Smart Chain Running Before Launch Ethereum continues to wrestle with gas congestion, and Solana is still known for network freezes, yet BlockDAG is already showing a different picture. Its upcoming Awakening Testnet, set to launch on September 25, isn’t just a demo; it’s a live rollout where the chain’s base protocols are being stress-tested with miners connected globally. EVM compatibility is active, account abstraction is built in, and tools like updated vesting contracts and Stratum integration are already functional. Instead of waiting for fixes like other networks, BlockDAG is proving its infrastructure in real time. What makes this even more important is that the technology is operational before the coin even hits exchanges. That…
