Telegram has unveiled its first update of 2026, introducing AI-powered summaries and enhanced Liquid Glass interfaces, according to Telegram. This update, designed to maximize privacy and secure user data, adds significant functionality for both iOS users and channel content managers.

AI Summaries for Enhanced Productivity

The latest feature allows long posts in channels to be instantly summarized, providing users with quick recaps of the latest news. Instant View pages now feature an automatic AI summary at the top, enhancing productivity by saving time for users who engage with extensive content.

These AI summaries are powered by open-source models running on Cocoon, a decentralized network designed to maximize privacy. Each request within Cocoon is securely encrypted, ensuring user data is protected. This integration highlights Telegram’s commitment to maintaining user privacy while improving functionality.

Liquid Glass Design on iOS

Telegram for iOS now supports the Liquid Glass design, featuring transparent elements and beautiful refraction effects throughout the app. This design enhancement not only offers a visually appealing experience but also allows users to control interface effects to maximize performance and extend battery life through the settings menu.
