AI Growth Accelerates Global Race for Compute Power, Says Nvidia CEO

TLDR

  • Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang confirmed AI model growth is sharply increasing global demand for computing power.
  • Huang said AI models are expanding by an order of magnitude each year, driving higher GPU consumption.
  • Nvidia’s Rubin and Vera chips are in full production and remain on schedule, according to Huang.
  • The new chips will deliver five times higher AI computing performance than previous Nvidia models.
  • Huang stated faster computing determines leadership in the AI race, framing AI progress as a computing challenge.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has confirmed that soaring AI model complexity is driving a massive spike in computing demand. During a live Nvidia event in Las Vegas, Huang outlined the growing competition across the AI sector and emphasized the company’s focus on advanced chip production to stay ahead.

Nvidia CEO Confirms Rapid AI Growth and Next-Generation Chip Rollout

Jensen Huang said AI models are expanding at an “order of magnitude” each year, which is rapidly increasing computing needs. He explained that the demand for Nvidia’s GPUs has grown sharply, as companies compete to reach the next frontier. “The amount of computation necessary for AI is skyrocketing,” Huang stated, highlighting that faster computing directly impacts how quickly companies can innovate.

He confirmed that Nvidia’s next-generation Rubin and Vera chips are now in full production and remain on schedule. These chips, built to work together, will deliver five times the performance of the previous generation in AI tasks. Huang said the company designed them specifically to meet current and future computing demands, as AI model sizes continue to multiply each year.

During the event, Huang described the competitive nature of the AI race, where faster computation determines who leads in innovation. “Everybody’s trying to get to the next level and somebody is getting there,” he added, framing the challenge as a technical one. Nvidia’s development strategy continues to align with AI’s growing infrastructure demands, positioning the firm to support both commercial and research applications.

Nvidia Balanced Global Chip Deals and U.S. Controls

Throughout last year, Nvidia’s dominance in AI hardware continued to evolve through key partnerships and government-imposed restrictions. As previously reported, Arm Holdings announced plans to integrate Nvidia’s NVLink Fusion technology into its Neoverse platform, which powers data center CPUs used by major cloud providers like Amazon, Google, and Microsoft.

In the same year, Nvidia also faced export limitations imposed by U.S. leadership. During a televised interview and press briefing, former President Donald Trump confirmed that Nvidia’s most advanced Blackwell chips would not be allowed for export to China.

While less advanced chips could still be sold abroad, the top-tier technology would remain exclusive to the United States. “We will not let anybody have them other than the United States,” Trump stated, reinforcing national control over next-gen AI hardware.

The post Why The Green Bay Packers Must Take The Cleveland Browns Seriously — As Hard As That Might Be appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers are off to a 2-0 start. Getty Images The Green Bay Packers are, once again, one of the NFL’s better teams. The Cleveland Browns are, once again, one of the league’s doormats. It’s why unbeaten Green Bay (2-0) is a 8-point favorite at winless Cleveland (0-2) Sunday according to betmgm.com. The money line is also Green Bay -500. Most expect this to be a Packers’ rout, and it very well could be. But Green Bay knows taking anyone in this league for granted can prove costly. “I think if you look at their roster, the paper, who they have on that team, what they can do, they got a lot of talent and things can turn around quickly for them,” Packers safety Xavier McKinney said. “We just got to kind of keep that in mind and know we not just walking into something and they just going to lay down. That’s not what they going to do.” The Browns certainly haven’t laid down on defense. Far from. Cleveland is allowing an NFL-best 191.5 yards per game. The Browns gave up 141 yards to Cincinnati in Week 1, including just seven in the second half, but still lost, 17-16. Cleveland has given up an NFL-best 45.5 rushing yards per game and just 2.1 rushing yards per attempt. “The biggest thing is our defensive line is much, much improved over last year and I think we’ve got back to our personality,” defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz said recently. “When we play our best, our D-line leads us there as our engine.” The Browns rank third in the league in passing defense, allowing just 146.0 yards per game. Cleveland has also gone 30 straight games without allowing a 300-yard passer, the longest active streak in the NFL.…
