PANews reported on January 15 that, according to on-chain analyst Yu Jin, a "whale that bought $263 million worth of WBTC and ETH at high prices through a revolving loan" sold 300 WBTC at a loss today after BTC broke through $97,000, exchanging them for 29.11 million USDT to repay the loan. The selling price was $97,053.

He has already incurred a loss of $39.15 million due to buying high and selling low.

In August 2025, he bought 1,560 WBTC at a price of $116,762 (US$182 million) and 18,517 ETH at a price of $4,415 (US$81.75 million).
As the market subsequently declined, he began cutting his losses in November. He has now sold all his ETH holdings at $3049, incurring a loss of $25.29 million; and he has sold 560 WBTC at $92015, incurring a loss of $13.86 million.
He also holds 1,000 WBTC (US$96.81 million).
