Post Malone’s Frustrating Rise On The Billboard Charts

Throughout his career, Post Malone has tried his hand at many different genres of music. He started in hip-hop and rap, then moved seamlessly into pop, and at one point even dabbled with both rock and alternative sounds. F-1 Trillion, Malone’s most recent full-length, fits perfectly under the country label, and while it was a creative risk, the set immediately turned him into a hitmaker in that field.

One thing has remained constant throughout all of Malone’s eras and genre change-ups, and that is commercial success. The superstar is responsible for a number of the biggest songs of the past decade or so, and many of them are included on his career-spanning compilation, The Diamond Collection.

Malone released the project more than two years ago to celebrate his many diamond-certified songs, and it has performed well ever since. This week, as The Diamond Collection rises on the Billboard charts, the compilation returns to a familiar position – one which must be both exciting and also frustrating for the singer-songwriter.

The Diamond Collection leaps three spaces north on the Billboard 200, improving its standing to No. 11 on Billboard’s namesake ranking of the 200 most-consumed albums, EPs, and compilations in the United States. No. 11 is the highest that The Diamond Collection has ever climbed on the Billboard 200, and the set returns to its loftiest position yet.

Post Malone Falls Just Short of a New Top 10 Album

Whenever an artist sees a piece of music hit its previously set peak, that performance shows that the audience is still tuning in and loving the work. In Malone’s case this week, however, The Diamond Collection’s surge must be a bit frustrating, as the hugely popular compilation misses out on adding to his list of top 10 successes on the Billboard 200 for at least the second time.

The Diamond Collection Nears Two Years on the Billboard 200

Next week, The Diamond Collection will celebrate two years on the Billboard 200, as the set reaches 103 weeks. This time around, in just a few days, the album will become Malone’s fourth to rack up at least two full years on the ranking – and yet it keeps missing the top 10 by just one slot.

Of the eight projects Malone has placed on the Billboard 200, only two have failed to spend time inside the top 10. The Diamond Collection is the more successful of the bunch, while the multi-genre powerhouse’s Tribute to Nirvana debuted at No. 106 last April and then immediately disappeared.

Beerbongs & Bentleys Leads Post Malone’s Run of No. 1s

Counted among Malone’s half-dozen top 10s on the Billboard 200 are three No. 1s. Beerbongs & Bentleys, Hollywood’s Bleeding, and F-1 Trillion all led the charge for varying lengths of time. Another pair, Twelve Carat Toothache and Austin, missed the summit by just one space, while Stoney, which turned Malone into a household name and a certified hitmaker, peaked at No. 4.

The Diamond Collection Sits at Its Chart Peak on Every Tally

This week, The Diamond Collection appears on four Billboard charts, and it sits at its all-time high point on each and every one of them. As it improves to No. 11 on the Billboard 200, the compilation also lifts to that same position on the Top Streaming Albums ranking, pushing up just one spot.

The Diamond Collection is a top 10 success on both the Top Rap Albums and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts at the moment. Malone once more claims the most successful rap release in America, while The Diamond Collection is yet again forced to settle for second place on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums roster, where it has never managed to rule.

F-1 Trillion Surges Back Into the Top 10 on the Country Chart

Malone claims two top-performing full-lengths in the U.S. this period. While The Diamond Collection makes a home on four rosters, F-1 Trillion ascends on just two. Malone’s first country project gallops back into the top 10 on the Top Country Albums ranking, landing at No. 10, while surging from No. 100 to No. 86 on the Billboard 200.

Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC

The post Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson has weighed in on whether the Federal Reserve should make a 25 basis points (bps) Fed rate cut or 50 bps cut. This comes ahead of the Fed decision today at today’s FOMC meeting, with the market pricing in a 25 bps cut. Bitcoin and the broader crypto market are currently trading flat ahead of the rate cut decision. Franklin Templeton CEO Weighs In On Potential FOMC Decision In a CNBC interview, Jenny Johnson said that she expects the Fed to make a 25 bps cut today instead of a 50 bps cut. She acknowledged the jobs data, which suggested that the labor market is weakening. However, she noted that this data is backward-looking, indicating that it doesn’t show the current state of the economy. She alluded to the wage growth, which she remarked is an indication of a robust labor market. She added that retail sales are up and that consumers are still spending, despite inflation being sticky at 3%, which makes a case for why the FOMC should opt against a 50-basis-point Fed rate cut. In line with this, the Franklin Templeton CEO said that she would go with a 25 bps rate cut if she were Jerome Powell. She remarked that the Fed still has the October and December FOMC meetings to make further cuts if the incoming data warrants it. Johnson also asserted that the data show a robust economy. However, she noted that there can’t be an argument for no Fed rate cut since Powell already signaled at Jackson Hole that they were likely to lower interest rates at this meeting due to concerns over a weakening labor market. Notably, her comment comes as experts argue for both sides on why the Fed should make a 25 bps cut or…
