Asian Financial Forum 2026 Opens Next Week in Hong Kong

The 19th Asian Financial Forum (AFF), co-organised by the Hong Kong SAR Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), will be held on 26-27 January 2026 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The forum adopts the new tagline “Finance Empowering Business” and the theme “Co-creating New Horizons Amid an Evolving Landscape”.

More than 140 financial officials, business leaders, and experts will attend AFF. More than 3,600 participants from over 60 countries and regions will join.

The programme focuses on collaboration to address economic and structural change. Discussions will cover the global economic outlook, asset and wealth management, trade finance, fintech, family offices, pensions, and gold markets.

A key addition this year is the inaugural Global Business Summit on the second day. The summit will examine the integration of finance with the real economy.

It aligns with the 15th Five-Year Plan, supporting mainland enterprises expanding overseas, attracting international companies, and reinforcing Hong Kong’s role as an international financial and commercial hub.

Two plenary sessions on the first day will cover macroeconomic trends and monetary policy, featuring senior officials from multilateral institutions, central banks and regulators.

Keynote speakers include Dr José Manuel Barroso on day one and Paul Polman on day two.

AFF will also introduce a FutureGreen showcase focused on green finance and technology, running alongside deal-making and business matching sessions.

These sessions will cover clean technology, healthcare technology, and fintech.
