The e-commerce retailer’s leadership evolution will strengthen the US organization, accelerate growth, and drive commercial excellence

WASHINGTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Haypp Group, parent company of Nicokick.com and Northerner.com, leading e-commerce retailers specializing in nicotine pouches, today announced that Gabriel De Prado will assume the role of President, U.S. Market, effective January 9, 2026.

De Prado, previously Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), will lead Haypp Group’s U.S. business operations. His mandate includes accelerating commercial execution, deepening regulatory engagement, and strengthening the company’s position in the fast-growing nicotine pouch market.

“Haypp Group is entering a defining chapter for the business in the U.S.,” said Gavin O’Dowd, CEO of Haypp Group. “Gabriel brings the international leadership experience, commercial discipline, and profound understanding of regulated categories needed to fuel our U.S. expansion – without compromising the standards of compliance and consumer trust that sit at the core of our business.”

A seasoned commercial executive with more than 20 years of experience, De Prado held senior roles across Latin America and Europe, driving market development, commercial scale-up, P&L management, and organizational transformation.

Prior to this appointment, De Prado spent several years at British American Tobacco (BAT), leading strategic planning, consumer insights, and commercial execution across multiple international markets. As Haypp Group’s CCO, he directed commercial operations across six countries, supported revenue exceeding €300 million, and established the company’s global insights and analytics function, embedding data-driven decision-making at the core of commercial strategy.

“As President of the U.S. Market, my priorities are clear: scale responsibly, build high-performing teams, and strengthen Haypp Group’s leadership as a responsible retailer of modern oral nicotine alternatives,” said De Prado. “With the current regulatory landscape, the U.S. is witnessing a category transformation around nicotine pouches, and I am excited to lead this next chapter with a talented organization that is committed to doing things the right way.”

Fed forecasts only one rate cut in 2026, a more conservative outlook than expected

The post Fed forecasts only one rate cut in 2026, a more conservative outlook than expected appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell talks to reporters following the regular Federal Open Market Committee meetings at the Fed on July 30, 2025 in Washington, DC. Chip Somodevilla | Getty Images The Federal Reserve is projecting only one rate cut in 2026, fewer than expected, according to its median projection. The central bank’s so-called dot plot, which shows 19 individual members’ expectations anonymously, indicated a median estimate of 3.4% for the federal funds rate at the end of 2026. That compares to a median estimate of 3.6% for the end of this year following two expected cuts on top of Wednesday’s reduction. A single quarter-point reduction next year is significantly more conservative than current market pricing. Traders are currently pricing in at two to three more rate cuts next year, according to the CME Group’s FedWatch tool, updated shortly after the decision. The gauge uses prices on 30-day fed funds futures contracts to determine market-implied odds for rate moves. Three officials penciled in three rate reductions next year. “Next year’s dot plot is a mosaic of different perspectives and is an accurate reflection of a confusing economic outlook, muddied by labor supply shifts, data measurement concerns, and government policy upheaval and uncertainty,” said Seema Shah, chief global strategist at Principal Asset Management. The central bank has two policy meetings left for the year, one in October and one in December. Economic projections from the Fed saw slightly faster economic growth in 2026 than was projected in June, while the outlook for inflation was updated modestly higher for next year. There’s a lot of uncertainty…
