MANILA, Philippines – If there is one paramount lesson from the last presidential election, it is that a candidate must prepare well way ahead the official campaign period.

This early, two years before the 2028 elections, those who want to win Malacañang must already begin their campaigns: testing messages, raising profiles, establishing the presence in a fragmented media landscape.

But campaign for whose votes? Who and what makes up the electorate? Did a new constituency emerge from the 2025 midterm elections?
