PANews reported on January 26 that, according to on-chain analyst Ember, an ETH whale address that had been dormant for nine years woke up in the last 12 hours and transferred 50,000 ETH ($145 million) to the Gemini exchange.
- This address withdrew 135,000 ETH (US$12.17 million) from the Bitfinex exchange nine years ago, when ETH was priced at around US$90. The current price is 32 times higher than then.
- After transferring out 50,000 ETH today, this address still holds 85,000 ETH ($244 million).
