PANews reported on January 26 that the European Commission has launched an investigation into X's AI chatbot Grok under the Digital Services Act. The EU will investigate whether X properly assessed and mitigated the risks associated with the dissemination of illegal content, including altered pornographic images.
The EU stated that there is reason to believe that X did not conduct a provisional risk assessment when launching the Grok feature in Europe.
