CZ Rules Out Binance Return, Predicts Bitcoin Supercycle

• Changpeng Zhao has publicised in an interview that he won’t go back to Binance.

The former CEO of Binance, Changpeng Zhao, has confirmed that he will not go back to Binance after the rumours of a possible comeback spread like a forest fire. He also forecasted that Bitcoin will witness a surge in value, regardless of its recent price fall. 

The former CEO gave an interview to CNBC’s Squawk Box in which he revealed that he doesn’t have a plan to return to his old job at the exchange. Zhao also revealed that leaving his post was not that easy, but he later became habitual to it. 

He further went on to say that “I haven’t felt the need to go back, and I did not really want to. I thought it was a pretty good way for me to step down, away from Binance after seven years. I don’t believe it’s good for me to go back, and I also believe that we should leave room for other strong leaders to grow. 

The Case That Led To Jail 

Changpeng Zhao was cited in the US for money laundering three years ago. During that time, he was alleged to be guilty of the charges of directing this crime through his influence. The CEO was then sentenced to prison for four months and asked to resign from his position. 

However, in October, Trump permitted him a presidential pardon, making him free from his track record he had in the U.S. The president supported his decision by saying that he was unfairly prosecuted. 

The President predicted that the crypto market could potentially shift in the year, and the largest cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, could witness a supercycle in one year. This means the token could witness a long period of prolonged gains. 

He specifically made an excerpt of how the coin moves within the four-year cycle. But having the market break the trend, CZ notes this could be the upcoming bull year for BTC.
