U.S. District Court Judge Margaret Garnett ruled that Luigi Mangione will not face a death sentence for the alleged murder of health insurance CEO Brian Thompson.
In a federal Manhattan court on Friday, Garnett dismissed two of the four criminal charges against Mangione that could have resulted in the death penalty.
Mangione will now face possible “life without prison without parole,” Garnett said.
