Morph Integrates Chainlink CCIP as Exclusive Cross-Chain Standard for BGB

3 min read
  • Morph adopts Chainlink CCIP as BGB’s exclusive cross-chain standard for secure transfers.
  • CCIP ensures predictable, auditable, and institutional-grade cross-chain BGB movement.
  • Morph’s Emerald upgrade standardizes future assets, enabling global multi-chain payments.

Morph is integrating Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) as the exclusive way to move Bitget Token (BGB) across blockchains. This single standard aims to make BGB transfers more secure, predictable, and scalable, ensuring consistent liquidity as Morph grows.

Building Institutional-Grade Cross-Chain Reliability

Reliable cross-chain transfers are crucial for institutional adoption as on-chain payments and multi-chain settlements grow. Bitget CEO Gracy Chen says using Chainlink CCIP for BGB creates a trusted, auditable framework for enterprises.

With CCIP as the sole cross-chain layer, Morph reduces fragmentation and lowers risks from multiple bridge systems, which have historically caused problems in cross-chain setups.

Strengthening BGB’s Role as Morph’s Settlement Asset

Notably, the CCIP integration solidifies BGB’s role as the gas and settlement token on the Morph network. Over half of BGB’s original 2 billion supply has been permanently burned, and the Morph Foundation currently holds more than 220 million BGB. Morph also plans to move over 50% of circulating BGB onto its network.

Colin Goltra, CEO of Morph, emphasized that secure cross-chain movement is foundational to BGB’s roadmap. In his words:

Enabling Unified, Multi-Chain Payments

As on-chain payments grow, moving value across blockchains has become essential for stablecoins, merchants, FX systems, and treasuries. Chainlink CCIP lets Morph synchronize liquidity across networks, creating a smooth, unified settlement experience.

Developers can now transfer stablecoins, BGB, and related data between Morph and major blockchains in a single coordinated transaction. Programmable instructions make new payment and settlement workflows possible, safely and efficiently.

Chainlink Labs sees Morph’s move as a model for institutional interoperability. Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer at Chainlink Labs, said:

Emerald Upgrade and Future Asset Standards

Morph’s upcoming Emerald upgrade will build on CCIP, introducing new token standards and settlement tools. BGB secured by CCIP becomes a blueprint for future institutional assets, including stablecoins and payment-linked digital instruments. These standardized, verifiable models help fintechs and global payment providers operate consistently across markets.

Morph is already collaborating with payment providers, stablecoin issuers, and fintechs on the first wave of CCIP-enabled integrations.

With CCIP now live, Morph is creating the foundation for secure, programmable, globally interoperable money, bringing on-chain payments closer to mainstream adoption.

Headwind Helps Best Wallet Token

Headwind Helps Best Wallet Token

The post Headwind Helps Best Wallet Token appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Google has announced the launch of a new open-source protocol called Agent Payments Protocol (AP2) in partnership with Coinbase, the Ethereum Foundation, and 60 other organizations. This allows AI agents to make payments on behalf of users using various methods such as real-time bank transfers, credit and debit cards, and, most importantly, stablecoins. Let’s explore in detail what this could mean for the broader cryptocurrency markets, and also highlight a presale crypto (Best Wallet Token) that could explode as a result of this development. Google’s Push for Stablecoins Agent Payments Protocol (AP2) uses digital contracts known as ‘Intent Mandates’ and ‘Verifiable Credentials’ to ensure that AI agents undertake only those payments authorized by the user. Mandates, by the way, are cryptographically signed, tamper-proof digital contracts that act as verifiable proof of a user’s instruction. For example, let’s say you instruct an AI agent to never spend more than $200 in a single transaction. This instruction is written into an Intent Mandate, which serves as a digital contract. Now, whenever the AI agent tries to make a payment, it must present this mandate as proof of authorization, which will then be verified via the AP2 protocol. Alongside this, Google has also launched the A2A x402 extension to accelerate support for the Web3 ecosystem. This production-ready solution enables agent-based crypto payments and will help reshape the growth of cryptocurrency integration within the AP2 protocol. Google’s inclusion of stablecoins in AP2 is a massive vote of confidence in dollar-pegged cryptocurrencies and a huge step toward making them a mainstream payment option. This widens stablecoin usage beyond trading and speculation, positioning them at the center of the consumption economy. The recent enactment of the GENIUS Act in the U.S. gives stablecoins more structure and legal support. Imagine paying for things like data crawls, per-task…
