Opto’s comprehensive technology platform empowers chief investment officers (CIOs) and wealth managers serving high-net-worth clients and institutional investors to build and scale durable private markets programs. Seubel joins a team of technologists, private markets investors and operational specialists that supports firms at every stage of their private markets journey. Opto’s platform enables investment teams to efficiently source, analyze and build custom private markets exposures, combining automation with expert insights to streamline the full investment and fund lifecycle.
“Investment teams are being asked to evaluate a dramatically larger universe of private market opportunities—with some institutional clients increasing their allocations to as much as 50% in recent years—with the same, or fewer resources,” Seubel said. “Opto is addressing that challenge head-on, engineering solutions such as our AI-native approach to due diligence that helps CIOs and their teams screen thousands of managers and strategically increase their allocations to private markets without sacrificing rigor. I look forward to working with the Opto team to deliver technology that helps investment professionals make more informed decisions.”
As part of his remit, Seubel will oversee the rollout and adoption of Opto’s end-to-end alternative investment platform, including Opto’s Diligence AI, a solution designed to streamline how investment teams conduct private markets research and analysis. The tool automates key steps—extracting data from documents, benchmarking fund and manager performance and generating investment committee memos and diligence process artifacts—so analysts can focus on higher conviction decisions without adding headcount. Diligence AI is currently used by endowments, family offices and wealth managers.
Seubel brings more than two decades of experience leading business development and product teams across fintech and financial services organizations. He combines a deep Wall Street background with a focus on advancing technology to improve fund research, manager analysis and decision-making for investment and wealth management firms. Previously, he served as a managing director at CAIS, and was an early, senior member of the team at Addepar, where he helped build scalable platforms for wealth managers and family offices.
“Warren’s diverse experience makes him an ideal leader to guide Opto’s next phase of growth as we continue to design and bring solutions to market,” said Ryan VanGorder, CEO at Opto Investments. “His first-hand knowledge of how technology can transform investment workflows, combined with his experience overseeing high-performing teams, will be critical as we build technology that unlocks the potential of private markets as an engine for economic growth.”
Opto streamlines the full private markets lifecycle—from fund creation and subscriptions to capital calls and reporting—through a unified, fiduciary-first platform. Its advanced portfolio construction tools enable allocators to design and manage differentiated private markets programs that align with client preferences and investment objectives. Using technology-enabled solutions to organize and analyze information from data rooms and other fragmented data sources, Opto helps its partners efficiently evaluate opportunities and focus on investments that fit their needs.
