PANews reported on February 8th that, according to Cryptonews, a recent survey published by El Salvadoran local media shows that thanks to improved security and a decline in crime rates, 91.9% of respondents approve of President Bukele's performance. Of the 1,200 people surveyed, 62.8% expressed strong support for the president, while only 1.8% expressed strong opposition. Although Bitcoin has become legal tender, its adoption among the public remains limited. El Salvador continues to accumulate Bitcoin while negotiating with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
