PANews reported on February 9th, citing CNBC, that as OpenAI faces increasing pressure from competitor Anthropic's improved coding tools, OpenAI founder Altman is telling employees and investors that the company is regaining its growth momentum.
An internal Slack message revealed that Altman told OpenAI employees last Friday that the company's popular AI chatbot, ChatGPT, "has recovered to a monthly growth rate of over 10%." Altman also stated that OpenAI is preparing to launch "an upgraded chat model" this week. Altman noted that OpenAI's coding product, Codex, has seen a growth rate increase of approximately 50% compared to a week ago. "It's been a great week," Altman wrote.
