The Boutique Banking Conference returns to the Eye Filmmuseum to explore “Rethinking Relevance” in the age of tokenisation, digital currencies, agentic AI and increasing customer complexity.

The Banking Scene today announced #TBSCONF26AMS, its boutique banking conference in Amsterdam, taking place on 24 March 2026 at the Eye Filmmuseum. The event will welcome around 150 banking and financial services professionals for a full day of content sessions and an evening networking reception.

Building on the theme “Rethinking Relevance”, the conference will challenge banks and financial institutions to re-examine what it means to remain relevant to customers and the wider ecosystem as technology, geopolitics, and customer expectations reshape the industry.

Key discussion threads include:

  • Tokenised assets and digital currencies, and how they influence customer perceptions of the role banks play in the ecosystem
  • Agentic AI in banking, moving beyond hype to explore what it practically means for banks and their customers
  • Navigating complexity, exploring how to help customers keep pace with change

The programme also features insights from best-selling author Peter van Hees, who will share takeaways from his book “AI Agents: They Act, You Orchestrate”, followed by a book signing, with a complimentary copy available for attendees.

“Relevance isn’t a marketing slogan, it’s a moving target,” said Andrew Vorster, Head of Growth at The Banking Scene. “#TBSCONF26AMS is designed to help banking leaders cut through the noise, challenge assumptions, and have candid conversations about what customers will value next, and what banks must do to stay ahead.”

Event logistics: Registration opens at 10:00, content sessions run from 10:30–17:00, followed by a networking reception from 17:00–21:00.
Venue:Eye Filmmuseum, Amsterdam Noord, opposite Amsterdam Central Station.

Ukraine Gains Leverage With Strikes On Russian Refineries

The post Ukraine Gains Leverage With Strikes On Russian Refineries appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Screen captures from a video posted on social media on September 13, 2025. The video claims to show a Ukrainian drone strike on the Novo-Ufa oil refinery in Russia. Social Media Capture Earlier this year, peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine stalled, with some claiming that Ukraine had entered the talks with “no cards” to play. Since then, Ukraine has strengthened its position, launching a series of successful drone strikes against Russian refineries, eroding one of Russia’s most important sources of revenue. At the same time, Russia is pouring increasing resources into its summer offensive and strategic drone strikes, while achieving minimal results. This combination creates a financially unfavorable situation for the Russians and provides Ukraine with much-needed leverage for the next round of peace negotiations. Ukraine’s Strategic Strikes Against Russian Oil Refineries Throughout this past summer, Ukraine has launched a coordinated series of long-range drone attacks against Russian oil refineries, causing major disruptions to the country’s fuel infrastructure. Reports indicate that more than ten refineries were struck during August, shutting down about 17 percent of Russia’s refining capacity, or approximately 1.1 million barrels per day. Repeated strikes on the Ryazan refinery in the Moscow area and the Novokuibyshevsk refinery in the Samara region disabled several key distillation units. Meanwhile the Volgograd plant in southern Russia had to suspend processing oil after a recent strike. Other refineries across the country have also been targeted. These attacks have continued into September, with additional facilities hit and many struck multiple times.
