Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) has launched cardless QR withdrawals for GCash users across its entire ATM network in the Philippines.
RCBC intends to increase cash-out options for mobile wallet users by linking digital platforms with physical banking infrastructure.
The service allows fully verified GCash users to withdraw funds without a physical ATM card for a fee of PHP 18.00.
To use the feature, customers generate a “Cash Out” QR code within the GCash app. Then, users need to scan it at any of the bank’s ATMs.
While the capability was initially limited to select locations in Metro Manila and Cebu, it reached full nationwide activation in December 2025.
Martin Tirol, RCBC Head of Transaction Banking Group, noted that the initiative focuses on simplifying everyday banking.
The expansion follows a shift in consumer behaviour toward QR-enabled transactions, which provide an alternative to traditional card-based methods.
The bank currently operates one of the largest cash-access networks in the country, with over 1,500 ATMs nationwide.
RCBC continues to develop transaction banking solutions, including retail and corporate cash management and payment services.
The bank focuses on strengthening the link between digital wallets and physical cash-access points through this recent system update.
