Ripple has entered into a partnership with Aviva Investors to explore tokenization on the XRP Ledger. The initiative aims to bring traditional financial assets to the blockchain for increased efficiency and innovation.
Aviva Investors will integrate tokenized solutions into its existing product offerings through the partnership with Ripple. This initiative will help the firm incorporate tokenized funds into its portfolio, bringing a new dimension to its financial services.
The collaboration is set to evolve over 2026 and beyond, as both companies work to implement scalable solutions. Jill Barber, Chief Distribution Officer at Aviva Investors, said, “We’re really delighted to announce our collaboration with Ripple, and we look forward to working closely with the team to explore tokenising solutions.”
She further added that tokenization could improve time and cost efficiency for investors. Barber emphasized Aviva Investors’ commitment to adopting innovative technologies that benefit their clients.
The XRP Ledger (XRPL) will enable Aviva Investors to issue and manage tokenized funds with faster, more secure, and low-cost transactions. The ledger’s built-in compliance capabilities ensure that financial institutions can operate within regulated markets.
With over 7 million active wallets and a history of processing over 4 billion transactions, XRPL offers a robust infrastructure. Nigel Khakoo, Vice President at Ripple, stated, “Tokenization is now moving from experimentation to large-scale production.”
He emphasized that Ripple sees tokenized fund structures as a major efficiency booster for the investment sector. With XRPL’s native liquidity and near-instant settlement, Ripple believes this technology will transform the management of institutional assets.
