National mortgage lender tops six of 10 customer experience categories

DALLAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–PrimeLending®, a PlainsCapital Company, has been named the 2025 Best-in-Class Lender for Overall Satisfaction in the large independent lender segment by MortgageCX, earning the program’s top honor based on verified borrower feedback.

In addition to the No. 1 overall ranking, PrimeLending placed first in six of 10 customer experience categories evaluated by MortgageCX:

  • Overall Borrower Satisfaction
  • Loan Originators
  • Processors
  • Net Promoter Score (NPS)
  • Online Tools
  • Application Process

The MortgageCX Best-in-Class Lender Awards are based on nearly 40,000 post-closing satisfaction surveys from homebuyers nationwide and are widely regarded as an industry benchmark for measuring lender performance through direct consumer feedback.

“Today’s homebuyers expect personal expertise and easy-to-use digital tools to work seamlessly together,” said Steve Thompson, president and chief executive officer of PrimeLending. “For 40 years, our focus has been making the mortgage process simple and transparent. Being named Best-in-Class for Overall Satisfaction—and across key touchpoints like our loan originators, processors, and digital experience—shows what’s possible when experienced local professionals are supported by technology that keeps loans moving and borrowers informed.”

PrimeLending’s performance also stood out at the individual level. Through STRATMOR Group’s MortgageCX Program, 37 loan originators and 22 loan processors ranked among the top 200 individuals nationally in their respective roles for customer experience delivery in 2025.
