PANews reported on February 18 that, according to Reuters, AI agent startup Temporal announced the completion of a $300 million Series D funding round, valuing the company at $5 billion. The round was led by a16z, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), Lightspeed Venture Partners, Sapphire Ventures, and Sequoia Capital.

According to the company, this round of funding is not to "chase a hot moment in artificial intelligence," but to build a platform to address the reliability challenges that AI agents face in complex, long-running processes. Currently, AI companies such as OpenAI, Snap, Netflix, and JPMorgan Chase are among its users.
