ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--$GLDN--XFUNDS by Nicholas Wealth, a leading provider of actively-managed income ETFs, today announced the launch of two new ETFs: the Nicholas Gold Income ETF (NYSE Arca: GLDN) and the Nicholas Silver Income ETF (NYSE Arca: SLVX). Both ETFs are designed to provide investors with exposure to precious metals while pursuing capital appreciation and generating regular income through an actively managed options strategy.

GLDN offers investors exposure to the gold market, while SLVX offers exposure to the silver market, through a mix of precious metals-related equities and U.S.-listed exchange-traded funds and exchange-traded products that track the price of gold or silver. Launched in partnership with Tidal Investments LLC, both funds combine three complementary components within a single structure:

Equity Portfolio: The first component invests in publicly traded companies involved in the exploration, development, mining and production of gold and silver, providing equity exposure tied to each metal’s respective industry.

Commodities Portfolio: The second component provides exposure to the price of gold or silver through select U.S.-listed exchange-traded funds and exchange-traded products, allowing the funds to participate directly in movements in underlying precious metals markets.

Options Overlay: The third component employs an actively managed options strategy across both the equity and commodities portfolios, seeking to generate income through option premiums while maintaining exposure to potential asset appreciation.

“Gold and silver have historically served as long-term hedges against the gradual erosion of purchasing power,” said David Nicholas, CEO of XFUNDS by Nicholas Wealth. “With GLDN and SLVX, we wanted to give investors and financial advisors a way to access both the metals themselves and the companies that benefit from them, while also incorporating an income component that is often missing from traditional precious metals exposure.”

GLDN and SLVX are the latest additions to the XFUNDS by Nicholas Wealth ETF lineup, which is built around pairing targeted market exposure with an income component across asset classes. The suite includes the Nicholas Fixed Income Alternative ETF (FIAX), the Nicholas Global Equity and Income ETF (GIAX), and the Nicholas Crypto Income ETF (BLOX). Together, these offerings reflect Nicholas Wealth’s strategy of developing ETFs that integrate income generation with differentiated portfolio exposures.

Investments involve risk. Principal loss is possible.

Underlying Fund Risk. The Fund’s investment strategy, involving indirect exposure to bitcoin and ether through one or more Underlying Funds, is subject to the risks associated with bitcoin and ether. Shareholders in the Fund bear both their proportionate share of expenses in the Fund and, indirectly, the expenses of the Underlying Funds.

Derivatives Risk. Derivatives are financial instruments that derive value from the underlying reference asset or assets, such as stocks, bonds, or funds (including ETFs), interest rates or indexes. The Fund’s investments in derivatives may pose risks in addition to, and greater than, those associated with directly investing in securities or other ordinary investments, including risk related to the market, imperfect correlation with underlying investments or the Fund’s other portfolio holdings, higher price volatility, lack of availability, counterparty risk, liquidity, valuation and legal restrictions.

Counterparty Risk. The Fund is subject to counterparty risk by virtue of its investments in option contracts which exposes the Fund to the risk that the counterparty will not fulfill its obligation to the Fund.

Equity Market Risk. By virtue of the Fund’s investments in option contracts equity ETFs and equity indices, the Fund is exposed to common stocks indirectly which subjects the Fund to equity market risk.

High Portfolio Turnover Risk. The Fund may actively and frequently trade all or a significant portion of the Fund’s holdings. A high portfolio turnover rate increases transaction costs, which may increase the Fund’s expenses.

Non-Diversification Risk. Because the Fund is “non-diversified,” it may invest a greater percentage of its assets in the securities of a single issuer or a smaller number of issuers than if it was a diversified fund.

Gold and Silver Industry Companies Risks. Investments in companies engaged in the exploration, mining, refining, and production of gold (Gold Industry Companies) involve greater than average risks and may be considered speculative. Concentration Risk. The Fund will have economic exposure that is concentrated to the industry or group of industries assigned to Gold Industry Companies.

Hedging Transactions Risk. Hedging transactions involve risks different than those of underlying investments. In particular, the variable degree of correlation between price movements of hedging transactions and price movements in the position being hedged means that losses on the hedge may be greater than gains in the value of the Fund’s positions, opportunities for gain may be limited or that there may be losses on both parts of a transaction.

Illiquid Investments Risk. The Fund may, at times, hold illiquid investments, by virtue of the absence of a readily available market for certain of its investments, or because of legal or contractual restrictions on sales.

Interest Rate Risk. The value of the Fund’s investments in fixed income Treasury securities will fluctuate with changes in interest rates.

New Fund Risk. The Fund is a recently organized management investment company with no operating history. As a result, prospective investors do not have a track record or history on which to base their investment decisions.

Michigan progresses Bitcoin Reserve bill to invest 10% state funds in Bitcoin

The post Michigan progresses Bitcoin Reserve bill to invest 10% state funds in Bitcoin appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Key Takeaways Michigan’s legislature is considering a bill to allow up to 10% of its public funds to be invested in Bitcoin. This move would make Michigan one of the most ambitious U.S. states regarding state-level Bitcoin adoption. Michigan advanced legislation today that would authorize the state to invest up to 10% of its public funds in Bitcoin, joining a growing wave of states exploring crypto asset reserves. The Strategic Bitcoin Reserve bill represents one of the most ambitious state-level Bitcoin adoption proposals to date. Over 20 U.S. states introduced or considered similar Bitcoin reserve legislation in 2024 and early 2025, reflecting increased institutional interest as Bitcoin prices reached new highs. Michigan’s pension fund already maintains small Bitcoin exposure through exchange-traded funds. The proposal aligns with broader federal cryptocurrency policy shifts under the Trump administration, which has expressed support for a national Bitcoin reserve. Such federal backing has encouraged state-level initiatives as governments seek portfolio diversification beyond traditional assets. Bitcoin proponents argue that state reserves could provide hedge protection against inflation and currency devaluation, similar to how sovereign wealth funds like Norway’s oil fund diversified into alternative investments. Critics cite Bitcoin’s price volatility as a risk for public funds. The legislation still requires additional legislative approval before Michigan could begin Bitcoin purchases for its state treasury operations.
