CEBU, Philippines – The Carmelite Monastery of Cebu was where the late former president Corazon Aquino hid from the clutches of danger on February 22, 1986.

Forty years later, Rappler’s John Sitchon visits the site where Cory Aquino prayed and fasted with Carmelite nuns in hopes of peace.
