PANews reported on February 20th that Coinbase has suspended trading of several perpetual contracts, including EDGE-PERP, PROMPT-PERP, 1000SATS-PERP, FLOW-PERP, AR-PERP, MANTLE-PERP, and HNT-PERP, as previously planned. All remaining open contracts have been automatically settled in USDC at the final settlement price listed in the announcement, calculated based on the average index price over the 60 minutes prior to the suspension. Coinbase stated that this delisting was to improve liquidity and market quality, adjust products that did not meet standards, streamline the perpetual contract product line, concentrate resources on supporting products with higher trading volumes, and expedite the listing process for new perpetual contracts in the future.
