IRVINE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#AlliantInsurance–Mike Underwood has joined Alliant Insurance Services as Vice President within its Employee Benefits Group, serving on the newly established Alliant Affinity team. Based in the Washington, D.C. Metro area, Underwood will deploy his experience in employee benefits and financial management to the affinity space to broaden market reach.

“Mike brings a strong blend of executive-level insight and financial planning experience that helps organizations align their benefits strategies with long-term goals,” said Kevin Overbey, President, Alliant Employee Benefits. “His diverse background and broad skill set enable him to take a truly full-service approach to benefits planning and execution.”

Underwood focuses on member and organizational benefits planning, helping associations and its members maximize value across multiple lines to increase participation and benefits engagement. His work spans financial services, insurance planning, and benefits design. He also has extensive experience in benefits planning for veterans and active military personnel.

Prior to joining Alliant, Underwood served as Chief Operating Officer of a financial services startup focused on delivering wealth accumulation and asset protection strategies.
