MANILA, Philippines – Forty years ago, Camp Crame served as one of the focal points of the People Power Revolution that toppled dictator Ferdinand E. Marcos‘ tyrannical rule.

Fidel V. Ramos and Juan Ponce Enrile took refuge there after defecting from Marcos, a move that helped trigger the uprising that led to the latter’s downfall.
