Critical Infrastructure Technologies Ltd. has executed a memorandum of understanding with Danish defense technology company Terma A/S to explore the integration of radar systems into autonomous communications platforms for defense applications. The agreement establishes a framework for cooperation focused on combining Terma’s radar technology with CiTech’s Self-Deploying Communications Platform, known as the Nexus platform, to develop solutions for international defense and security markets.

The collaboration aims to identify commercial opportunities and assess the technical feasibility of integrating Terma’s radar systems into CiTech’s autonomous deployment platform. According to Brenton Scott, Chief Executive Officer of CiTech, this partnership creates the opportunity to combine proven radar technology with rapidly deployable autonomous communications to support operations in demanding environments. The companies plan to conduct joint demonstrations across the European Union, subject to mutual agreement, and hold periodic coordination meetings to review progress toward formal pilot or commercial agreements.

Steen Trier, Vice President of Global Sales Surveillance & Mission Systems at Terma, stated that the MOU reflects Terma’s ambition to collaborate with innovative partners to explore new operational applications of their radar technology. The partnership will focus on evaluating solutions that enhance situational awareness and operational flexibility for defense and security customers. Planned demonstrations include events at DAIMEX BALTIC 2026 in Lithuania, the International Drone Summit in Riga, and the 34th International Defence Industry Exhibition MSPO in Poland.

The collaboration represents a strategic move for both companies in the defense technology sector. CiTech’s Nexus platform is designed to provide critical mobile telecommunications for sectors including mining, defense, border security, and emergency services, addressing limitations of current rapidly deployable communication solutions. Terma, which develops mission-critical products for defense, aerospace, and security applications, brings expertise in radar systems, command and control solutions, and electronic warfare. More information about Terma can be found at www.terma.com, while details about CiTech are available at www.citech.com.au.

This partnership has implications for European defense capabilities, particularly in enhancing rapid deployment of integrated surveillance and communications systems. The planned demonstrations at key European defense exhibitions will provide opportunities to showcase the combined technology to potential customers and stakeholders. The non-exclusive nature of the agreement allows both companies to pursue additional partnerships while working together to develop integrated solutions that address evolving security challenges in international markets.
