Key Facts

The footage—originally obtained by Fox News—shows 12 cars passing by a home, including one around 2:30 a.m. on Feb. 1, when the Pima County Sheriff’s Office said Guthrie’s pacemaker was deactivated.

The home is situated on a back road about 2.5 miles from Guthrie’s Tucson, Arizona, residence, just outside the 2-mile radius where residents were asked by the sheriff to send video taken from Jan. 1 to Feb. 2, according to Fox News.

ABC News said the FBI is also aware of the video, but it remains unclear if the vehicle is tied to Guthrie, the daughter of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie.

$1 Million Reward Brings More Tips, Video

Savannah Guthrie announced earlier in the week her family is prepared to pay a reward of “up to $1 million” for information that leads to the return of her mother, and that reward has led to a slew of tips. Within a day of the reward increase, the FBI reportedly received 1,500 new tips. Federal authorities now have obtained as many as 10,000 hours of video through their investigation, NBC News reported Thursday. Neither the FBI nor the sheriff’s office have announced any new leads based on the tips.

Fbi Scales Back Search For Nancy Guthrie

The FBI has shifted its command post from Tucson to Phoenix after a Wednesday search of Guthrie’s home found “no additional investigative work” is needed there, according to ABC News. If there is a break in the case, FBI agents will be back on the ground in Tucson, according to CBS News, which reported neighborhood canvassing and evidence collecting has been completed.

Will Savannah Guthrie Return To The ‘today’ Show?

CNN reported Thursday the longtime “Today” morning show host will return “at some point,” but it’s unclear when. An unnamed NBC source told CNN Guthrie will be welcomed “back with open arms on her timeline.” Former “Today” host Hoda Kotb has filled in for Guthrie alongside co-host Craig Melvin.

Crucial Quote

“I do think morning shows are living, breathing organisms, and when something happens to a member of these very close-knit teams, it is devastating, I think, to everyone,” Katie Couric, who previously hosted the show, told Deadline. “I think the ‘Today’ show team is doing the best they possibly can, and it must be excruciating to try to carry on, but also to cover a story about a beloved colleague.”
