SquEEEze is a series of competitions organized to showcase the skills and knowledge of students in Science, Mathematics, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) concepts. It is an event that aims to unite aspiring young minds throughout the country for the advancement of Electrical and Electronics Engineering by conducting a national-level quiz contest, addressing and rectifying key issues through technological yet sustainable methods, and amplifying the opportunities and recognition for the EEE industry.

UP Circuit, an academic organization based on the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Institute (EEEI) of the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD), has pioneered and annually organized this set of events to be an avenue for aspiring students and professionals in the EEE industry to engage in meaningful exchange and collaboration.  This year, the organization has arranged SquEEEze to unleash the utmost potential of students across the country through four main competitions. Alongside this, SquEEEze will also be inviting partners and companies that promote the opportunities that lie ahead in the field of EEE.

The four events will be held in Diliman, Quezon City, presented in a face-to-face setup, and will be conducted for two days. The Quiz Show and Technical Design Contest under the High School division will be held as the first set of events for SquEEEze 28 on March 7, 2026. The second set of events, for the College division, will be held on March 14, 2026.

The Inter-High School Quiz Show is a nationwide competition for junior and senior High School students to test their knowledge in Science and Mathematics, as well as their understanding of the basic concepts in EEE and basic circuitry. On the other hand, the Inter-Collegiate Quiz Show is a national competition dedicated for undergraduate students taking a program among BS Electronics Engineering (ECE), BS Electrical Engineering (EE), and BS Computer Engineering. These quiz shows encourage students to demonstrate their expertise and exhibit their understanding of concepts related to the EEE industry. Along with the competition, participants will also be able to further gain insights about EEE through the engaging perspectives from speakers and hands-on workshops during the event.

For the 28th iteration, the Technological Design Contest (Tech DeCon) will have two divisions— one for College and the other for High School— to commemorate the 10th iteration of the High School division of SquEEEze. As this year’s Tech DeCon theme, “Plugged In: Technology That Connects Everything and Everyone, Everywhere,” the competition challenges the participants to bridge the information accessibility gap by applying and utilizing the concepts of EEE into their research proposals. The High School Tech DeCon and the College Tech DeCon present an avenue for junior and senior high school students, as well as for Electronics, Electrical, and Computer Engineering students, to propose their envisioned solutions for the information accessibility gap within communities.
