He emphasized that "it is not a regime change war, but a regime change has indeed occurred," accusing Tehran of "merely stalling for time" in negotiations, stating that Iran "will never possess nuclear weapons," and warning that any threats against Americans would result in pursuit and potential casualties. He stated that the operation would be completed under the "America First" principle and would end under the conditions chosen by US President Trump. He also claimed that Iran "arrogantly refused" to reach an agreement after the attack on its nuclear facilities last year.

According to Iranian state media, Mansoure Khojatai, wife of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, has died from her injuries.
