A man has been arrested near the campaign watch party for Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in Dallas, reported The New York Times.

According to the report, police have not immediately confirmed that this incident is related to Paxton.

However, "the officers pulled what appeared to be ammunition for several types of weapons from a blue sedan that hotel workers said the man had been driving. He was wearing a camouflage face mask, sunglasses, a hat and gloves as he stood outside the Marriott Dallas Uptown shortly before 6 p.m. Central time. A member of Mr. Paxton’s campaign said that he had seen the man enter the hotel and asked to use the restroom. The staff member said he had spoken with the man briefly."

"The staff member, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the unfolding police investigation, said the man told him he was an Uber driver, but the staff member doubted that story, observing that the car he was driving appeared to have no plates," said the report.

The news came as polls closed in Texas, with results coming in for both the Democratic and Republican primaries, which have attracted intense national interest due to the Senate race and a variety of congressional races where Trump has intervened either for or against various incumbents.
