PANews reported on March 4th that, according to The Block, on-chain data shows the US government transferred approximately 0.3346 bitcoins, worth about $23,000, from a wallet linked to "Miguel Villanueva." The three transfers were sent to three different addresses, and the wallet's balance was subsequently emptied. The US government currently holds approximately 328,000 bitcoins, worth over $22 billion. This transaction occurred at a time when the Treasury Secretary stated the government's approach was to stop selling seized bitcoins and instead add these confiscated assets to its digital asset reserve.
