PANews reported on March 4th, citing Cointelegraph, that former Trump administration crypto advisor David Bailey stated the US government could do more in supporting Bitcoin, saying "simply liking Bitcoin isn't enough." He pointed out that despite Trump signing the executive order for a strategic Bitcoin reserve in March 2025, a year later the government still hadn't begun actively accumulating Bitcoin, and even the exact amount held was unclear. Bailey believes that liking Bitcoin doesn't equate to being willing to invest the necessary political capital to make it happen. He emphasized that whether it takes 4, 10, or 20 years, Bitcoin will eventually succeed, but for progress to continue, more people need to own Bitcoin each year.
