PANews reported on March 4th that, according to Reuters , Ziff Davis has agreed to sell its Connectivity division to Accenture for $1.2 billion in cash . This division includes Ookla 's Speedtest app, Downdetector , Ekahau , and RootMetrics . Following the transaction, Ziff Davis will focus on vertical media such as IGN and Mashable, as well as businesses like Everyday Health. The Connectivity division is projected to generate approximately $231 million in revenue by 2025, representing about 16% of Ziff Davis's total revenue . Ziff Davis stated that the proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes and capital allocation activities. Accenture stated that the acquisition will leverage Ookla's product portfolio to provide end-to-end cyber intelligence services to support its AI -related transformation businesses.
