Donald Trump declared on Sunday that he won't sign any more legislation into law until his pet voter suppression bill is passed, spurring some to accuse him of sabotaging his party.

Trump over the weekend took to his own social media site, Truth Social, to congratulate a right-wing operative for his appearance on Fox News.

"Great Job by hard working Scott Pressler on Fox & Friends talking about using the Filibuster, or Talking Filibuster, in order to pass THE SAVE AMERICA ACT, an 88% issue with ALL VOTERS," the president wrote. "It must be done immediately."

Trump went on to issue a panicked plea, saying the bill "supersedes everything else."

Trump concluded:

"MUST GO TO THE FRONT OF THE LINE. I, as President, will not sign other Bills until this is passed, AND NOT THE WATERED DOWN VERSION - GO FOR THE GOLD: MUST SHOW VOTER I.D. & PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP: NO MAIL-IN BALLOTS EXCEPT FOR MILITARY - ILLNESS, DISABILITY, TRAVEL: NO MEN IN WOMEN’S SPORTS: NO TRANSGENDER MUTILIZATION FOR CHILDREN! DO NOT FAIL!!! President DONALD J. TRUMP."

Some analysts pointed out that Trump was hampering his own party heading into a midterm contest that is expected to be close.

Senior politics reporter of HuffPost, Igor Bobic, chimed in with an accusation that Trump is "basically filibustering his own party."

Sen. Chuck Schumer also weighed in, saying that the "SAVE Act is Jim Crow 2.0."

"It would disenfranchise tens of millions of people. If Trump is saying he won’t sign any bills until the SAVE Act is passed, then so be it: there will be total gridlock in the Senate," the senator wrote. "Senate Democrats will not help pass the SAVE Act under any circumstances."

Journalist Jake Sherman said, "No DHS funding. No housing bill. Nothing. And remember: this would require the House to pass another version of SAVE America act. The version they passed didn’t have limitations on vote by mail."

Business Insider politics reporter Bryan Metzger added, "somehow i don't think he'll stick to this one."
