Abia State is set to host one of Africa’s most anticipated technology and innovation gatherings as the Abia Web3 & Digital Economy Conference (AWDEC2026) takes place on August 7–8, 2026, from 9:00 AM WAT, at Nobik International Event Centre, 7Up Road, Umuola, Aba, Abia State, Nigeria.

Powered by Abia Web3 Network (AWN), AWDEC2026 is a premier continental platform dedicated to advancing Web3 adoption, digital innovation, fintech growth, entrepreneurship, and sustainable digital infrastructure across Africa.

Held under the theme “Building Digital Economy,” the conference will bring together policymakers, regulators, founders, developers, investors, startups, financial institutions, corporate leaders, creatives, students, and technology communities from across Nigeria and beyond. The goal is clear: to drive meaningful collaboration, practical innovation, and long-term economic impact.

Over two high-impact days, participants will experience keynote addresses from industry leaders, masterclasses, hands-on workshops, startup exhibitions, pitch opportunities, policy dialogues, developer sessions, fireside conversations, and curated networking engagements. Each session is designed to strengthen digital capacity, unlock funding pathways, encourage responsible innovation, and accelerate ecosystem growth.

AWDEC2026 is intentionally structured to connect talent to opportunity, startups to investors, policy to innovation, and communities to global markets. It creates a credible platform for visibility, strategic partnerships, product exposure, and ecosystem expansion.

With over 2,000 participants expected, alongside leading startups and ecosystem stakeholders, AWDEC continues to position Abia State as an emerging hub for Web3 and digital economy innovation in West Africa.

Convened by Raphael Omochor, a strong advocate for youth empowerment and technology-driven development, the conference reinforces a bold vision: building a resilient digital economy pipeline that connects skills, capital, policy, and innovation.

Momentum is already building through strategic collaborations, grassroots engagement, and regional ecosystem outreach-ensuring broad participation and measurable outcomes.
