The third winner of the $3,000,000 Build in Public Hackathon has officially been revealed, and the spotlight now turns to Pumpcade, a fast-rising project aiming to reshape how prediction markets function across the internet.

Backed by a fresh $250,000 investment from Pump Fund, Pumpcade is building a new infrastructure that allows users to place predictions almost anywhere online. From social media platforms to streaming services, the project’s goal is simple but ambitious: enable people to back their opinions with money in real time.

The announcement was shared through Pump Spotlight, confirming that Pumpcade secured the third investment slot in the hackathon’s lineup of projects. The initiative continues to reward builders who develop openly while showcasing their progress to the public.

More details about the announcement can be found in the official post here:

With three winners now selected out of twelve planned recipients, competition remains intense among developers still participating in the Build in Public challenge.

Pumpcade Introduces “Speculation Everywhere”

Pumpcade’s core vision revolves around a concept the team calls “Speculation Everywhere.” Instead of limiting prediction markets to dedicated websites, Pumpcade embeds them directly into the browsing experience.

Currently running in private beta with a fully functional product on the Solana devnet, the platform allows users to create and participate in extremely short-duration markets across various parts of the internet.

The system integrates prediction functionality through a browser extension that works on web pages containing verifiable data sources. This means that while reading news, watching streams, or tracking sports scores, users can instantly create markets based on what might happen next.

Pumpcade aggregates these markets into a central hub where users can view statistics, charts, criteria, and outcomes.

Supported integrations already include platforms such as:

  •  Pump.fun
  •  Polymarket
  •  Kalshi
  •  Twitch
  •  Kick
  •  Major sports data platforms

More integrations are currently in development as the platform prepares for a broader rollout.

The TikTokification Of Prediction Markets

Pumpcade describes its design philosophy as the “TikTokification of prediction markets.”

Traditional prediction platforms often focus on long-duration events that can take days or weeks to resolve. Pumpcade flips that model by introducing extremely short prediction windows, sometimes as little as 60 seconds.

Most markets operate within a 1-30 minute timeframe, enabling rapid speculation cycles. The model is built around parimutuel markets, a system where all participant bids enter a shared pool.

Once the market resolves:

  •  Winners receive payouts proportional to their contribution to the pool
  •  Fees are deducted by the platform
  •  No deep liquidity pools are required

In practical terms, the system only needs one YES and one NO participant for a market to function.

This lightweight approach allows markets to appear quickly and resolve almost immediately, making the experience feel closer to fast-paced social media interaction than traditional financial speculation.

Automated Resolution Removes Trust Barriers

One of the biggest challenges in prediction markets is determining outcomes fairly and efficiently. Pumpcade addresses this by implementing automatic resolution through verified data sources.

Instead of relying on manual moderation or AI judgment, the system connects directly to official APIs that provide trusted data.

Examples include:

  •  Pump.fun’s API for token metrics
  •  Price feeds from Pyth for crypto assets
  •  Game data from Riot Games for League competitions
  •  Sports data from Yahoo Sports

Once the data confirms an outcome, a settler service fetches the information off-chain and posts the result on-chain, finalizing the market instantly.

This design reduces counterparty risk and avoids disputes that often plague prediction platforms.

Users can access these markets through Pumpcade’s browser extension or a dedicated terminal interface. If someone visits a supported webpage, they can immediately see active prediction markets created by other users who also run the extension.

Every prediction generates small platform fees, forming the foundation of Pumpcade’s economic model.

A Founder With Deep Crypto Experience

Pumpcade was founded by PopPunkOnChain, a long-time crypto builder who has been active in the industry since 2015.

His career includes experience with major crypto companies such as Gemini and Magna, along with founding Gaslite, a project focused on gas optimization audits for major blockchain protocols including LayerZero.

Before launching Pumpcade, he also built HyperG8, a professional trading terminal for HyperEVM that raised $1.25 million from investors including Coinbase and Robot Ventures.

Pumpcade itself started in an unconventional way. According to the founder, the project initially launched on Pump.fun before evolving into a fully developed platform.

The founder later revealed that he quit his dream job to focus on Pumpcade full-time, committing to building the product openly while documenting the entire development process.

His public post describing that journey can be found here:

Over the past four months, the founder has shared continuous updates including screenshots, demo videos, and development logs that show the platform evolving from concept to working beta.

Even before its public launch, Pumpcade has started building momentum across the crypto community.

So far, the project has achieved:

  •  Nearly 4,000 organic followers on X
  •  Around 900 waitlist signups
  •  Roughly 100 private beta users
  •  Over 100 markets created
  •  More than 200 predictions executed on devnet

These numbers are still early, but they highlight a growing curiosity around fast-paced, short-duration prediction markets.

The team is also preparing to release Version 2 of its browser extension, which will significantly expand accessibility and allow more users to interact with live markets across the internet.

Pumpcade Roadmap And What Comes Next

With fresh funding from Pump Fund, Pumpcade now enters its next development phase.

The project’s roadmap outlines a clear timeline:

Within 30 days

  •  Launch open beta
  •  Complete security audits
  •  Scale infrastructure

Within 3 months

  •  Mainnet launch
  •  Key market integrations including Pump.fun, Polymarket, Kalshi, and League-related predictions
  •  Partnerships with streamers and blockchain protocols

Within 6 months

  •  Expansion of market types
  •  Introduction of manual resolution via staked validators
  •  Automatic creation of markets based on trending topics

If successful, these upgrades could turn Pumpcade into a new layer of speculation infrastructure embedded directly into everyday internet activity.

The Build In Public Race Continues

The Build in Public Hackathon still has nine remaining investment slots, meaning the competition is far from over.

Out of twelve eventual winners, only three projects, including Pumpcade, have secured the $250,000 Pump Fund backing so far.

Although applications have already closed, participants who submitted entries are still actively building and showcasing their progress publicly in hopes of becoming the next project selected.

For Pumpcade, the victory marks an important milestone, but it also represents the beginning of a much larger ambition.

The team’s long-term goal is nothing less than reimagining the prediction market industry, making speculation faster, more accessible, and embedded everywhere online.
