Key Highlights

  • Tron DAO becomes a member of the Linux Foundation’s Agentic AI Foundation (AAIF)
  • The blockchain network secures a seat on AAIF’s governing board with Circle and JPMorgan
  • Founder Justin Sun identifies AI as a strategic priority for Tron throughout 2026
  • Tron maintains top position among blockchains in revenue generation across multiple timeframes
  • The Bank of AI platform for AI agents went live on Tron during February

Tron DAO has become an official member of the Agentic AI Foundation, an initiative operated by the Linux Foundation dedicated to advancing open-source AI technology and establishing industry-wide standards.

The membership was confirmed on Monday. Tron DAO will participate on the AAIF’s governing board, working alongside current members Circle and JPMorgan.

The foundation’s mission centers on creating standards for governance, security, and interoperability within agentic AI systems—autonomous AI agents capable of independent decision-making and action.

According to Tron DAO, the coming wave of agentic AI will create substantial demand for infrastructure capable of processing continuous, high-frequency, low-cost transactions at massive scale.

This strategic direction aligns with statements from Tron founder Justin Sun from last month, where he identified AI as a “definite” strategic priority for the blockchain throughout 2026.

Sun has consistently highlighted Tron’s high-speed performance, scalability capabilities, and minimal transaction costs as ideal characteristics for supporting AI agent operations.

Building AI-Ready Blockchain Infrastructure

A tangible demonstration of this strategy is the Bank of AI platform, designed by AINFT as a dedicated financial infrastructure layer for AI agents. The platform debuted on both Tron and BNB Chain during mid-February 2025.

Stripe executives Patrick Collison and John Collison also addressed this subject recently, highlighting a significant infrastructure gap in blockchain technology that must be resolved to accommodate growing AI requirements.

Tron DAO stated its objective within the AAIF is to contribute to developing open infrastructure that makes AI agents “easier to build, safer to operate, and more accessible.”

Revenue Leadership Position

According to current DeFiLlama data, Tron holds the top position among all blockchains in revenue generation. The network produced $1.01 million in the last 24 hours, $6.54 million over the previous week, and $25.58 million during the past month.

Sun has attributed a portion of this revenue growth to AI-related activity occurring on the network.

Tron DAO stated its commitment to contributing toward collaborative standards development through the foundation.

The AAIF functions under the Linux Foundation’s umbrella and was established to promote open-source agentic AI development while fostering interoperability across different platforms and services.

Through its AAIF membership, Tron DAO now collaborates with two prominent financial and cryptocurrency infrastructure organizations, Circle and JPMorgan, in determining the evolution of agentic AI standards.
