  • Company renames to Solmate Infrastructure PLC, keeping Nasdaq ticker SLMT.
  • Two underperforming soccer teams wound down; capital redirected to Solana expansion.

The Nasdaq-listed Solmate Infrastructure is making a bold move into the crypto space. The Solana news showed that the firm, previously known as Brera Holdings PLC, is rebranding and reshaping its identity.

Now, the firm is setting up a Solana hub in Abu Dhabi, shifting its focus entirely into digital assets.

Solana News: Solmate’s Abu Dhabi Move Signals Big Shift

According to a press release, Solmate Infrastructure is launching a Solana hub in Abu Dhabi. The move comes as part of the company’s corporate restructuring and capital overhaul.

In detail, the company intends to become a professional-grade provider of Solana infrastructure in Abu Dhabi.

This comes after its board approved a plan to align the company’s legal structure and identity with its new blockchain-focused strategy.

Currently known as Brera Holdings PLC, the firm will change its legal name to Solmate Infrastructure PLC. However, its Nasdaq ticker, SLMT, will stay the same.

On Tuesday, the company announced that the board approved a plan to position itself as an institutional-grade provider of Solana infrastructure. For the move, the company sees Abu Dhabi as the primary operational hub.

Solmate Sets Sights on Abu Dhabi Amid Rebranding

Solmate CEO Marco Santori stated, “This transformation is the culmination of Brera’s strategic shift toward infrastructure opportunities we see in Abu Dhabi.”

He added that by focusing on Solana, the company is positioning itself to be a “central player in the region’s rapidly expanding digital economy.”

He added, “This is not just a name change, it is the evolution of a specialized infrastructure firm built for the future of capital markets.”

Significantly, this move is part of the company’s broader shift that began last September. Then, the firm was primarily involved in football ventures. But it soon launched a rebrand to pursue a Solana-focused strategy.

As the company evolves, it will officially change its legal name to Solmate Infrastructure PLC. According to the latest Solana news, the company will also update its corporate documents to reflect its focus on blockchain infrastructure and digital asset treasury operations.

The transition underscores Solmate’s ambition to become a key player in the growing Solana ecosystem. This also signals a deeper commitment to digital asset innovation and institutional-grade blockchain solutions.

The Solana news also focuses on Solmate’s plans to simplify its operations. The company has decided to wind down two of its underperforming soccer teams from its sports portfolio.

At the same time, it will keep its main Italian club, Juve Stabia. The resources freed up from these changes will be reinvested into expanding Solana infrastructure in the UAE, the company said.

Solana (SOL) Price Struggles to Surge

Despite this strategic Solana news, the SOL price remains relatively flat. Usually, such major developments are poised to push the token prices higher.

However, due to the broader pressure on the global crypto market, the SOL price failed to move.

As of press time, the Solana (SOL) token is priced at $85.78, marking a 1.68% drop in a day. While the token slipped by 1.2% over the past week, it declined by 1% in a month.

Despite the overarching bearish trend, these marginal declines indicate that the SOL price is able to overcome its previous losses.

A Netflix ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Short Film Has Been Rated For Release

The post A Netflix ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Short Film Has Been Rated For Release appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. KPop Demon Hunters Netflix Everyone has wondered what may be the next step for KPop Demon Hunters as an IP, given its record-breaking success on Netflix. Now, the answer may be something exactly no one predicted. According to a new filing with the MPA, something called Debut: A KPop Demon Hunters Story has been rated PG by the ratings body. It’s listed alongside some other films, and this is obviously something that has not been publicly announced. A short film could be well, very short, a few minutes, and likely no more than ten. Even that might be pushing it. Using say, Pixar shorts as a reference, most are between 4 and 8 minutes. The original movie is an hour and 36 minutes. The “Debut” in the title indicates some sort of flashback, perhaps to when HUNTR/X first arrived on the scene before they blew up. Previously, director Maggie Kang has commented about how there were more backstory components that were supposed to be in the film that were cut, but hinted those could be explored in a sequel. But perhaps some may be put into a short here. I very much doubt those scenes were fully produced and simply cut, but perhaps they were finished up for this short film here. When would Debut: KPop Demon Hunters theoretically arrive? I’m not sure the other films on the list are much help. Dead of Winter is out in less than two weeks. Mother Mary does not have a release date. Ne Zha 2 came out earlier this year. I’ve only seen news stories saying The Perfect Gamble was supposed to come out in Q1 2025, but I’ve seen no evidence that it actually has. KPop Demon Hunters Netflix It could be sooner rather than later as Netflix looks to capitalize…
