Stephen Miller's awkward Iran victory lap on Fox News draws brutal mockery
One of President Donald Trump's top aides was brutally mocked on Wednesday after he seemed to be "having a hard time" during an interview on Fox News.
White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller joined Fox News host Laura Ingraham on her show, "The Ingraham Angle," to discuss the ongoing war in Iran and U.S. efforts to reopen the Strait of Hormuz to its trade ships. The Iranian regime has effectively blockaded the Strait for more than a week in response to the coordinated bombing campaign conducted by the U.S. and Israel, which has contributed to the significant increase in energy prices.
"The United States has achieved its objectives faster than anybody could have imagined," Miller said. "President Trump was aware of and has calculated through every permutation and every degree of strategy. This has been, by far, the most overwhelming victory based on objectives."
His comments come at a time when the U.S. war in Iran is facing significant scrutiny at home. Last week, reports indicated that a U.S. bomb had been dropped on a girls' school in Iran, killing more than 170 civilians and aid workers.
Political analysts and observers mocked Miller's comments on social media.
"Even Goebbels is having a hard time pulling this one off," political writer Jim Stewartson posted on X.
"Literally any objective military expert will tell you that the Strait of Hormuz was the most obvious weak point to any attack on Iran and should have been anticipated with ease," lawyer Isaac Kimes posted on X. "Instead, we get this propaganda nonsense."
"He is the singularity," Dan Kanninen, battleground director for the Biden-Harris campaign, posted on X.
