AFSCME Local 44 is proud to announce a new partnership with Money$ense, a nonprofit-backed financial and personal wellness social platform.
Through this partnership, Local 44 members will have access to the full Money$ense platform—providing financial education, professional development resources, and health and wellness content – all within a judgement-free supportive peer community. Members will also gain access to a private union-only space, Local 44 Rise, within the platform where Local 44 leadership can communicate directly and discreetly with members and share information relevant to their workforce.
Local 44 leadership believes Money$ense oDers an innovative way to support the long- term well-being of its members.
“Providing our members with access to ongoing financial education and personal wellness resources is an important part of supporting their overall quality of life,” said Clarence Thomas, Vice President of AFSCME Local 44. “Money$ense gives our union a practical way to connect members with the educational content, tools, and support community they need to build stronger financial habits while supporting their broader health and professional development.”
Money$ense combines expert-led content with a community-based learning environment to share experiences, access trusted guidance, and build confidence around decision- making. The platform also features a built-in incentive system that rewards participation in learning activities and community engagement, encouraging members to stay active and pursue healthier financial and lifestyle habits.
AFSCME Local 44 will oDicially introduce Money$ense to membership during the April 18th, 2026 member meeting, which will be held at 1410 Bush Street in Baltimore, Maryland.
“We’re proud to partner with AFSCME Local 44 to support their financial and personal well- being,” said Desmond Stinnie. “We look forward to helping their members strengthen their relationship with money and reduce financial stress.”
